- A viral video shows foreign travellers bonding with an autorickshaw driver in New Delhi
- The driver, Mr Mulchan, accompanied the group on visits to temples and parks throughout the day
- Initially strangers, they shared stories and laughter, turning the trip into a unique shared experience
Not all travel memories come from grand monuments or perfectly planned itineraries. Some of the most lasting ones emerge from ordinary moments that take an unexpected turn. A recent viral video from New Delhi captured this idea through a simple encounter between foreign travellers and an autorickshaw driver, which turned a routine ride into a shared day of discovery. The clip, shared by travel vlogger Kur Keliauja Ugne, shows how the driver ended up accompanying her group during their outings.
In the viral video, the travellers are seen near the Lotus Temple in New Delhi. They first met the autorickshaw driver near India Gate. He is introduced affectionately in the caption as "the man, the myth, the legend - Mister Mulchan." The vlogger noted that, "He wasn't pushy at all - just very polite - so we decided to go with him."

What was meant to be a straightforward trip became something more engaging: the three of them chatted, laughed and shared stories throughout a long ride. As they talked, the travellers found out that Mr Mulchan hadn't visited several popular sights himself. So the vlogger told him, "Why wait outside? Please, join us." This simple gesture was how she and her group "ended up having the most amazing day ever."
What followed was a day out that flipped roles: the driver became a fellow explorer rather than just a stranger providing a service. They visited temples and parks together, sharing fresh experiences and breaking the usual traveller-local dynamic. Mr Mulchan's interaction with the group did not end there. The vlogger revealed, "Before our flight home, our friends managed to visit him again and his family! Mr Mulchan not only showed us the real hospitality of Indian people, but also helped us to navigate through busy New Delhi streets, get the correct prices for the services and told us a lot of stories about India. India is beautiful, chaotic, charming, and I can't wait to visit again."
