A food blogger has shared a throwback video capturing the moment she and her husband surprised his mother with an unforgettable trip to Dubai. The clip has gone viral and won many hearts online. The video, posted by Mansi, shows Sukeshi Mehta heading to the airport with her son, daughter-in-law, grandchild, and other relatives. Believing she was simply there to see them off for their flight to the United States, Sukeshi had no idea that her family had been keeping a big secret for an entire month.
"Last year, on our way back from India to the USA, we surprised my mother-in-law and took her on a surprise trip to Dubai," wrote Mansi in the caption. "We stayed one month in India, and all of us kept that secret till she came to the airport to drop us off.
The video shows Sukeshi initially brushing off the surprise as a joke, refusing to believe the family's claims that she was coming along. That's when they pulled out her passport and flight ticket. Sukeshi was stunned and emotional upon learning that she wasn't saying goodbye, but instead, was about to go on a family holiday to one of the world's most glamorous destinations.
But the video didn't end at the airport; it went on to chronicle Sukeshi's joyous time in Dubai. From camel rides across golden sand dunes to wandering the city's glittering souks, selecting jewellery, wearing breezy kaftans, and marvelling at the grandeur of Dubai's famous mosques, she was seen enjoying every moment. Calling her mother-in-law a "rockstar," Mansi posted the video in honour of her birthday, writing, "The rest is history, but it was a lot of fun to see her face."
