SpiceJet Announces Plan To Double Daily Flights During Winter 2025
The winter travel season is already shaping up to be a turning point for SpiceJet. The Indian low-cost carrier has announced plans to operate 250 flights every day during its Winter 2025 schedule. This marks a dramatic jump from around 125 flights at the end of the Summer schedule, and well above the roughly 150 flights operated last winter. The ramp-up is scheduled to begin on 26 October 2025 and will roll out in phases as the airline brings 19 leased aircraft into service.

With travel demand rebounding across India and abroad, SpiceJet is positioning itself to capture more of that momentum. The airline is backing the route expansion with a parallel fleet and capacity build-up: by November, the plan is to more than double its operational fleet and triple its Available Seat Kilometres (ASKM), as per reports. In short, it plans to introduce more planes, more flights and more destinations.

One of the headline additions is the introduction of non-stop daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Phuket in Thailand, opening up fresh leisure travel options for Indian travellers.
Domestic Expansion
SpiceJet is also expanding connectivity within India. Some of the key developments to take note of:
- The Mumbai-Bengaluru route will move to twice daily service (effective 1 Nov and 15 Nov), and a new Chennai-Bengaluru link launches from 8 Nov.
- Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer will see enhanced links: for instance, Kolkata-Jaipur from 31 Oct; Jaipur-Guwahati and Jaipur-Mumbai from 7 Nov (with Mumbai service twice daily) and Udaipur-Delhi/Mumbai from 7 Nov.
- Pilgrimage and regional centres are also in focus. Daily flights to Ayodhya from Delhi and Ahmedabad will continue, while new flights will start from Mumbai and Hyderabad. Flights connecting Varanasi to Pune and Hyderabad have also been planned.
- Other routes on the schedule include Varanasi-Pune, Patna-Hyderabad & Patna-Ahmedabad, and Patna-Chennai.
