- The new project marks the brand's shift from standalone restaurants to lifestyle hospitality
- The menu highlights premium seafood and local Goan influences with planned wellness additions
Bastian Hospitality Group, co-owned by Shilpa Shetty, has announced a major expansion of its portfolio with the launch of Bastian Riviera. This is a new 1.5-acre property set along the Morjim backwaters. The project signals a shift for the Mumbai-born brand as it moves from standalone restaurants to a wider lifestyle and hospitality identity. With this opening, Bastian Hospitality positions itself within Goa's growing luxury-leisure market, aiming to attract travellers seeking design-forward experiences rather than the usual resort aesthetic. Founder and CEO Ranjit Brinda said that Bastian Riviera draws from his long-standing personal connection to Goa. He also revealed that wellness and spa additions are planned in the next phase.

Spread across landscaped decks and water-led courtyards, the property leans heavily into an international sensibility rather than standard coastal motifs. Motifs inspired by Egypt, Mykonos, Dubai, and other destinations have been included in the design. A pyramid-inspired structure forms the architectural centrepiece, surrounded by cabanas, circular sunbeds and an open-air bar facing the backwaters.

More About Bastian Hospitality Group
Bastian Hospitality Group began its journey in 2016 with the launch of its first Bastian restaurant in Bandra, a space that quickly became one of Mumbai's most recognisable dining destinations. Over the years, the brand expanded across the city with multiple concepts, including the rooftop-format Bastian - At The Top in Dadar, and later moved into other metros with openings such as Bastian Garden City and Bastian Empire in Bengaluru. Earlier this year, the group shut its original Bandra outlet after a final service in early September, marking the end of an era for the flagship space even as its wider portfolio continued to grow.
