The seat belt sign turns off, and suddenly half the plane is on its feet, grabbing bags, blocking the aisle, and rushing out as if there is a prize for being the first one to exit. It has almost become a part of our travel culture. When something different happens, it really stands out.
That is exactly what happened on a recent flight to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. An X (formerly Twitter) user named Kirubakaran Rajendran shared a moment that surprised even frequent flyers.
He wrote, "When I landed in Coimbatore and not a single person stood up before the gate opened. Nobody jumps up. No rush. No chaos. Discipline level. First time seeing this on a domestic flight."
The man also attached an image of the flight, where every passenger was calmly seated, waiting for the doors to open.
The internet was quick to react to this post.
A user wrote, "I wish we saw this at every airport and on every flight. I still don't understand why everyone is in such a hurry while boarding when we're all on the same plane. After landing, whether you're on the second or third bus, we still wait at the same baggage belt and see the same people who boarded first. So why the hurry?"
