Instagram account @maui_thegoldenpup shared a video of golden retriever Maui experiencing culture shock in Switzerland, noting clear drinkable lakes guarded by aggressive swans, allowed travel on public transport, and scenic walks amid stunning nature
Not only humans, but animals, especially dogs, can also love travelling and exploring new places. Naturally curious, they tend to enjoy the sounds, sights and scents that come with unfamiliar surroundings. But can dogs get culture shocks, too? Recently, Instagram handle @maui_thegoldenpup, dedicated to two adorable golden retrievers, Maui and Hugo and one corgi named Ruby, shared a heartwarming video demonstrating Maui's culture shock after visiting Switzerland.
Shown from the golden retriever's perspective, the clip came with a tagline that read, "Culture shock moments for Maui while travelling in Switzerland." First, she learnt that every water body in the European country was surprisingly "crystal clear and drinkable". Maui even swam in one of them, which was located right by a boat pier. However, the cute doggo realises that the crystal clear lakes were under the controlled access of "aggressive" swans. One of the birds even tried to scare Maui, forcing her to "leave" and making the canine think that these swans were "mafias".

Another positive aspect Maui understood was that dogs like her were allowed on all forms of transportation. For example, she boarded a scenic train ride to the Alps and enjoyed swaying on lots of boats. Her last takeaway from the Switzerland getaway was that her "everyday walks" were as picturesque as one could get, thanks to Switzerland's awe-inspiring natural beauty featuring brilliant lakes, lush greenery and towering mountains. The side note read, "Switzerland minus swans = Maui's paradise."
The internet was all hearts for the video.

"Did Maui also see the prices. That must have been the biggest shock!" joked another.
A dog-lover playfully launched a "petition to save Maui from mafia swan attacks."
"My anxiety skyrocketed when I saw your pup getting close to the Swan," admitted an individual.
"Maui has a way happening life than me," noted one person.
