This year, a report by Agoda reveals that Indian travellers are showing a mix of tried-and-tested favourites and new, unexpected spots when it comes to planning their post-wedding getaway. Sun-soaked beaches and lakesides to international cities and hidden island escapes, the quest for the perfect getaway is as diverse as it is exciting.

- Goa remains the most popular domestic honeymoon spot for the second consecutive year, according to new data from travel platform Agoda. It is prized for its beaches, boutique resorts, culinary scene, and exciting night life.
- Udaipur, the "City of Lakes," has climbed to second place, attracting couples with its royal charm and serene lakeside views.
- Mumbai ranks third, while Jaipur and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands complete the top five.

The Agoda report shows a clear preference for beach and island destinations, alongside culturally rich or scenic cities. Indian couples appear to favour a balance of romance, relaxation, and exploration in planning their first trip together. The analysis is based on searches by travellers in India on Agoda from January to September 2025, for trips planned between November 2025 and January 2026, for at least two adults, compared with the same period in the previous year.
