It comes as a huge surprise to most people, but Dubai doesn't have the neighbourhood-wise postal codes we're so used to in India and most other countries. Yet, despite the lack of these area-specific codes, people easily get their letters, parcels and online orders delivered to their homes.
Dubai, like the rest of the UAE, does not use traditional area-based postal codes for ordinary mail. Instead, Emirates Post, the UAE's official postal operator, uses details such as the recipient's name, PO Box number, building, street, flat or unit number, emirate and telephone number.

If you're on a vacation in Dubai, staying in a hotel, and want to order something online, this is an important detail you should know. If the website asks for a ZIP code, you don't need to find a secret Dubai postcode. Instead, give the delivery service your hotel or accommodation's full address, along with your name and phone number.
Your delivery details must clearly mention your name, hotel name, room or relevant booking details, complete hotel address, Dubai, UAE, and phone number. The exact information a hotel or delivery company needs can vary, so it is also worth checking with the property before placing the order.
Some Websites Make The Zip Code Compulsory

Most websites are built for countries that use postal codes and won't let you proceed without one, and that can confse someone who doesn't know about this feature in Dubai. While placing the order, you can simply put 00000 as a placeholder in the ZIP code box. And if the website allows text, "N/A" or "Not Applicable" can also work.

Emirates Post uses tracking numbers for domestic and international postal items. So once your parcel is on its way, the tracking reference is what you need to find where your parcel is.
