Those residing or running commercial establishments in New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) areas will now have to shell out more money to avail water facility, with the civic body deciding to raise the tariff.

In a major relief to the Delhi residents, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has decided to give massive rebate on pending bills and reduce water development charge.

A month after taking charge of Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party or AAP government on Thursday announced a 10 per cent hike in water tariff for households that consume more than 20,000 litres per month. The new rates will be effective from April 1.
