Trains Affected Gujjar Agitation

Rail and road traffic has been disrupted as protests continue by members of the Gujjar community in Rajasthan's Bharatpur. More than a dozen trains have been diverted on the Delhi-Mumbai Railway line and the state has temporarily discontinued its bus service on the Agra-Jaipur route as a precaution.

Several trains were cancelled, diverted and terminated as the agitation by Gujjars in Rajasthan over Kota demand continued for the third consecutive day on Sunday.

The first round of talks between leaders of the Gujjar community and Rajasthan government to discuss the issue of five per cent reservation in government jobs has failed. More than 100 trains have been cancelled and an equal number have been diverted because of the protest by Gujjars which has entered its fourth day today.
