As the north-eastern state of Mizoram voted to elect a new Assembly today, Chief Minister Pu Lalthanhawla said the 'None Of The Above' or NOTA option, introduced for the first time in the electronic voting machines, is "of no use" for the people of his state.

Mantralaya fire: Three people died and at least eight were injured in the massive fire that broke out at the Mumbai Mantralaya or secretariat on Thursday afternoon. Fire fighters worked all through the night and finally managed to put out the flames after over 12 hours.

IIT Kanpur, Delhi to hold own entrance exam; Bombay, Kharagpur likely to revolt too

Following the footsteps of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, the Senate body of IIT Delhi has rejected the proposal of the new entrance format for the IITs by the Human Resource Development (HRD) minister Kapil Sibal. The Senate, comprising of 200 faculty members, unanimously rejected the proposal announced by Mr Sibal on May 28.
