Spiders On Mars

A recent image released by the European Space Agency shows what appears to be a swarm of spiders crawling across Mars' surface.

As many as 10,000 citizen scientists have helped discover landforms known as 'spiders' on parts of Mars where they were previously thought not to exist.

Scientists using data from NASA's Mars orbiter have, for the first time, imaged the growth of erosion-carved troughs that may be infant versions of Martian 'spiders' - radially patterned surface features found in the south polar region of the red planet.
