Manohar Aich

Bodybuilder Manohar Aich, 104, was India's first Mr Universe way back in 1952. He is survived by two daughters and sons each.

Former Mr Universe and celebrated bodybuilder Manohar Aich died at his home in Kolkata following old age complications, family sources said. He was 104.

In 1950, at the age of 37, Aich won the Mr Hercules contest and the next year he finished runner-up at the coveted Mr Universe contest. Aich no longer lifts weights but he does light training for about 15 minutes a day to stay healthy.
