The Madras High Court has set aside the discharge of two Tamil Nadu ministers in disproportionate assets cases and directed a lower court to frame charges against them. The lower court has also been asked to conduct trial on a daily basis.

Former Tamil Nadu minister and DMK leader KKSSR Ramachandran today moved Madras High Court Bench in Madurai seeking to quash a government order appointing a Special Public Prosecutor for Vigilance cases to deal a disproportionate wealth case against him.

Vigilance officials today conducted raids in the premises of former DMK minister N K K P Raja across Tamil Nadu in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The raids by officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption were in progress in Chennai and Erode districts, DVAC sources said.
