Iran-allied Houthi Movement

The UN World Food Programme today appealed for safe access to the Yemeni city of Taiz, saying that fighting between warring factions had blocked food supplies and left thousands of people in extreme hunger.

Warplanes from a Saudi-led coalition struck Houthi targets in and around the Yemeni cities of Aden and Ibb early today, residents in the area said, after Riyadh indicated its campaign against the Iran-allied movement would be wound down.
