Shell has set up an electric vehicle charging hub that features ten 175 kW DC fast-charging stations, built by Australian manufacturer Tritium.

The Pune Municipal Corporation has already issued a tender for this project and plans to rope in private agencies for setting up the 500 EV charging stations. PMC wants to promote the use of electric bikes and electric cars in Pune.

दिल्ली सरकार की तरफ से आए बयान में कहा गया है कि शहर में बिकने वाले वाहनों में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों की हिस्सेदारी 9 फीसदी है, जबकि राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर यह औसत गिरकर महज 1.6 फीसदी है.

MG मोटर नई इलेक्ट्रिक क्रॉसओवर की रेंज को भारतीय नियमों और ग्राहकों की जरूरतों के हिसाब से तैयार किया जाएगा. इसे विशेष रूप से भारत के लिए बनाया जाएगा.

केंद्रीय भारी उद्योग मंत्री महेंद्र नाथ पांडे ने कहा कि उनका मंत्रालय पूरे भारत में 22,000 पेट्रोल पंपों पर ईवी चार्जर लगाने के लिए भी बातचीत कर रहा है. साथ ही राजमार्गों पर 25 किमी में और शहरों में 3 किमी में चार्जिंग स्टेशन लगाए जाएंगे.

Under the Phase II of the FAME India scheme, the government has supported about 1.65 lakh electric vehicles, by way of Demand Incentive amounting to about Rs. 564.00 crore. The ministry says that it has also sanctioned 2,877 charging stations, amounting to Rs. 500 crore.

Work is underway to set up charging stations for electric vehicles at 22,000 of the 70,000 petrol pumps across the country, the Centre informed Rajya Sabha on Friday.

The charging station, first in Greater Noida, is likely to start in two weeks, and as many as 100 such stations are planned for the city.
