Latin NCAP has released its latest crash test result giving Chevrolet Sail a zero star rating. The car has scored zero star rating in Adult Occupant Protection and two stars in Child Occupant Protection.

The last update that we saw on both, the Sail sedan and the hatchback, was just before the Diwali season, but GM India now has a new plan for 2015. Chevrolet is gearing up to bring in the new-gen Sail sedan and from what we can see, it looks like a significant one; in terms of design at least.

General Motors India has refreshed the Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback and sedan. The company has launched the hatchback at a starting price of Rs 4.41 lakh and the Sail sedan is priced starting at Rs 5.19 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

General Motors India on Saturday launched limited edition versions of the Chevrolet Sail hatchback and sedan priced between Rs 4.21 lakh and Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Chevrolet has launched limited editions of the Sail saloon and UV-A hatchback. These limited edition cars are priced at Rs. 4.47 lakh for the UV-A while the sedan will cost Rs 5.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

The December 2013 sales include 2,073 units of Beat, 1,282 units of Sail and 1,088 units of Chevrolet Enjoy, the company said in a statement.

The recall will affect 2,910 units of the sedan version of Sail and 1,090 units of compact car variant of the model.

General Motors India said on Tuesday that it has temporarily suspended the production of its utility vehicle Tavera BS-III and its newly-launched Sail diesel variant as part of a quality control process from early this month.

General Motors India is targeting to sell 48,000 units of the Chevrolet Sail annually in the country and would be concentrating on the domestic market, a top official today said.
