Top 10: PM Modi Performs Yoga With Thousands at Delhi's Rajpath

India along with the rest of the world is celebrating International Yoga Day, an initiative championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who pitched the idea of an International Yoga Day at the United Nations General Assembly last year.

45,000 people including bureaucrats, students and soldiers performed Yoga along with PM Narendra Modi at New Delhi's India Gate.
A sea of yoga mats covered Rajpath: More than 45,000 people participated to perform yoga in the presence of PM Modi.

PM Modi made Yoga Day a key initiative of his government since he took office 13 months ago. "Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together!" PM Modi tweeted last year after pitching the idea of an International Yoga Day, during his speech to the UN General Assembly last year.

The yoga asanas are according to the Common Yoga Protocol, put together by the AYUSH Ministry, which has organised the celebration along with the external affairs ministry. Around thirty-five asanas were performed.
