While the BJP sought to extend its trailbalzing poll run, the Congress sought to reverse its sagging fortunes. The National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and other regional parties are looking to strengthen their elbow room.
