Goa To Witness 3-Cornered Contest For 40 Seats

The big battle to form governments in five states is all set to kick-in with Punjab and tiny tourist state Goa voting on February 4. In Goa, 40 seats are up for grabs with Aam Aadmi Party making its debut, fielding Elvis Gomes as its Chief Ministerial candidate. While the BJP is contesting on 36 seats, Congress has fielded its candidates on 37 seats, NCP on 16 and the MGP-GSM-Shiv Sena alliance has fielded 26 candidates.
