Chief Justice's Speech, Unnao Rape Dominate Headlines On Sunday
Chief Justice of India SA Bobde's statement on extrajudicial killings made the headlines in most of the news papaers on Sunday. Amid controversy over the killing of four rape accused men in Hyderabad, the Chief Justice condemned the practice of extrajudicial killings, saying that justice loses its very character when it takes the form of revenge. The four leading newspapers - The Times Of India, The Hindu, The Asian Age and The Telegraph - highlighted the CJI's statement speech in their lead stories. Hindustan Times, which is currently hosting world leaders in its annual event HT Leaders' Summit, took CM Arvind Kejriwal's speech as its lead story.
