Sushil Kumar wins Rs.5 crore on KBC-5

The fifth season of the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati has finally got its jackpot winner - Sushil Kumar from Bihar has won the mega prize of Rs 5 crore on the game show.

Sushil Kumar, a computer operator and tutor who earns Rs.6,000 per month, went on to win the top prize in the show hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The episode will be telecast November 2, 2011.

Amitabh Bachchan is back on the hot seat as the host for the fifth season of the popular gameshow Kaun Banega Crorepati.
With the first episode of the season airing on Independence Day (August 15), here is a look at the Big B-KBC saga.

The show, which will run for 14 weeks, will also have special themes and special episodes.

The show's motto, Kuch sawaal aapki zindagi badal sakte hain! (A few questions can change your life!), came true for Amitabh Bachchan too.

The enduring charisma of Amitabh Bachchan caught the fancy of an entertainment crazy country once again when the Big B appeared on TV saying, “Nau Baj Gaye Kya...? and greeting the audience in all languages.
The show romped to the top of all rating charts and the loosely-scripted format was quickly emulated by others.

Season 3 of the show was jolted, when Amitabh opted out and Shah Rukh Khan stepped in.
Lock Kiya Jaye changed to Freeze it, but King Khan couldn't rule the small screen, and Big B was brought back for the following season.

The fourth season was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and aired on the superstar's 68th birthday, October 11, 2010.

According to sources, over five million people participated in the auditions for KBC 4 , though the prize money was decreased to Rs 1 crore. However, the format of the show was tweaked to include a jackpot question with a prize booty of 5 crore.
