It was his second public appearance after the death of his mother, Mona Kapoor, who succumbed to cancer last month. Arjun Kapoor's father is producer Boney Kapoor who is now married to Sridevi.
During the filming of Ishaqzaade, Arjun was asked by producer Aditya Chopra to avoid all public events and stay out of the limelight.
