The Imran Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer Break Ke Baad is a coming of age romantic comedy based on the couples growing up - together.
The story revolves around Abhay Gulati and Aaliya Khan, who have have known each other since they were four years old.
Their childhood friendship morphs into puppy love when when Abhay realises Aaliya is the girl for him, all at the tender age of 15.
But Aaliya has big plans for life - she wants to be an actress no matter what the cost. While the confused Abhay is left cluless yet compteting with her aspirations.
As their love story progresses, despite their differences, so does the baggage. When Aaliya decides to go to Australia to study, Abhay faces the insecurities of a long distance relationship.
To gain some perspective, they take a leap of faith and take a breather from the relationship.
Aaliya soon realises that achieving her goals of fame is not as great if there is no one to share it with. While Abhay realises life is not as much fun without a dream to chase.
Life becomes a journey of mistakes, lessons learned and character building.
In a fickle world where the smallest issue can ravage your relationship, Abhay and Aaliya need to save theirs.
Produced by Kunal Kohli, Break ke Baad has been directed by Danish Aslam. Aslam also took initiative in writing the script.
Along with Imran and Deepika, Sharmila Tagore, Lilette Dubey and Naveen Nischol will also be seen in the film.
Imran has gone on record to say Deepika has been his best co-star till date.
Debutant director Danish Aslam was not interested in telling another run-of-the-mill love story and so he decided to explore space issues in relationships in his forthcoming film Break Ke Baad.

"Space is a word that is used a lot in a modern relationship. It's almost a break-up mantra. I wanted to explore that concept rather than a conventional love story where two people don't know each other, meet and fall in love," said Aslam in an interview.

He further added, "I wanted to show what happens to two people, who have known each other for their entire life, if their relationship breaks. I found the concept more exciting than just writing run-of-the-mill love story."
