The story revolves around Kunal Kadam (Kunal Khemu) who shifts to Cape Town from India with his wife, Arzoo (Amrita Puri) and gets a job in a diamond export firm run by two brothers.
It was a dream job for Kunal as it gave him all the luxuries in life - a plush mansion, a swanky new car and money.
However, he soon realised that he is caught in a complex web of white collar crime in the conglomerate.
Mahesh Bhatt wanted to shoot the film in Antwerp, Belgium but the Indian community there, who were largely employed in the diamond industry, opposed it. Thus, the location was shifted to Cape Town in South Africa.
The music for the film is composed by Jeet Ganguly, Pranay, Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur and the lyrics is penned by Sayeed Quadri.
The film has been rumoured to be inspired by Hollywood movie, Blood Diamond and the 1986 Bollywood film, Naam. However, Mahesh Bhatt has denied it.
