Munnabhai Goes Home: Sanjay Dutt Leaves Jail After 42 Months

Sanjay Dutt, who spent 42 months in prison, walked out of Pune's Yerwada jail around eight months ahead of time on February 25.
Sanjay Dutt, imprisoned in an arms case related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, spent 42 months in Yerawada jail and was released a little over three months ahead of time on February 25.
Mr Dutt will take a chartered flight to Mumbai where he will first visit the Siddhivinayak temple to offer prayers. From there, he will head to his mother Nargis Dutt's grave in Marine Lines before heading to his Pali Hill residence.
Sanjay Dutt was received by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who has directed the actor in films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S , Lage Raho Munna Bhai and PK and his wife Maanyata.
Sanjay Dutt walked out of Yerwada jail with a salute.
Mr Dutt carried his bag and files.
Mr Dutt also waved at the crowd as soon as he walked out.
He was escorted by police officials.
From Yerwada jail, Sanjay Dutt went to the Pune airport as he left for Mumbai.
Sanjay Dutt finally reached Mumbai and was received by his fans. Mr Dutt waved to his fans as his wife Maanyata stood beside him.
