Papad Pol is an upcoming show on SAB TV, based on the writings of noted Gujarati humorist and performing comedian Shahbuddin Rathod, staring Swapnil Joshi and Ami Trivedi in the lead roles.
Papad Pol is based on one of Shahabuddin Rathod's recordings- Vanechand No Varghodo. Shahabuddin is a well known Gujarati humorist and performing comedian artist. His comical style is respected for being intelligent, free of vulgarity and for inculcating social values with respect to all religions. Recordings of his performances as CDs and cassettes have been selling in Gujarat for about 20 years.
Swapnil Joshi plays the lead character of 'Vinaychand Rathod' who is a Gujrati simpleton looking for a bride for himself. Ami Trivedi plays the female lead 'Kokila Parikh' opposite Joshi in the show.
