Tamil actors Sneha and Prasanna, who have been dating for a while now, have finally got engaged today.

The couple formally announced wedding plans in Chennai last month.

Sneha and Prasanna starred as a married couple in Achamundu Achamundu, directed by an NRI filmmaker and shot in the US.

In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Prasanna spoke about whether Sneha would continue her movie career: "Its entirely her call whether to act or not. As far as I am concerned I would like to watch her acting; as a fan and a friend. I have given her complete freedom to decide."

Prasanna is an engineering graduate from Trichy and, as an actor, has cultivated a chocolate boy image.

Sneha has been cast opposite every top star, from Kamal Haasan in Vasool Raja - a remake of Munna Bhai MBBS - to Rajinikanth, Vikram, Suriya, Ajith and Vijay. One of her films, Pallikoodam, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival a few years ago.

Sneha looked beautiful in a red saree with flowers in her hair. Prasanna was more casually dressed.
