Weather Today, Delhi-NCR Rain Highlights: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast heavy rain alert for North and South India. The IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain today and issued a yellow alert for the national capital.
With a yellow alert in place, the maximum is likely to settle around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be at 24 degrees Celsius, the IMD said.
The weather office has forecast fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh between August 4 and August 6. Rain activity is likely to continue over Delhi till August 10.

Today Keralam Weather LIVE: 26 Dead, Over 27,000 In Relief Camps
At least 26 people have lost their lives, and over 27,000 have been shifted to relief camps due to rain-related disasters in Keralam, said the Chief Minister VD Satheesan.
Providing an update on the situation, Keralam Chief Minister VD Satheesan on Wednesday stated that the state administration has set up 462 relief camps across various districts to provide shelter to those affected by the deluge.
"Due to the rain-related disasters, 462 relief camps are currently functioning across the state, sheltering 27,048 people. Pathanamthitta has 157 camps, Kottayam 154, and Alappuzha 81. A total of 26 deaths have been reported in the state due to the rain-related disaster. Eleven people have been injured, while four people are missing," Satheesan said.

Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Wednesday announced a comprehensive relief package for families affected by the ongoing monsoon, including enhanced compensation for loss of life, houses, property and crops, besides a soft loan scheme for MSMEs and financial assistance for flood-hit households.
Addressing a press conference after a Cabinet meeting here, Satheesan said 26 people have lost their lives in monsoon-related incidents so far, while 11 have been injured and four others remain missing.
A total of 462 relief camps are currently functioning across the state, sheltering 27,048 people displaced by heavy rain, floods and landslides, he said.
The highest number of relief camps are in Pathanamthitta (157), followed by Kottayam (154) and Alappuzha (81), while the remaining districts have fewer than 10 camps each.
Today Weather LIVE: Heavy Rains Continue To Hit Kerala, More People Shifted To Relief Camps
Heavy rains continued to batter several parts of Kerala on Wednesday, causing widespread waterlogging and inundation of roads. More relief camps have been opened and people from low-lying areas were evacuated, authorities said.
The southern districts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam continued to bear the brunt of the rain fury, with incessant showers and overcast skies disrupting normal life.
People, including the elderly, women and children, were seen wading through knee-deep water in several inundated areas of these districts.
As floodwaters were yet to recede from most low-lying areas and many houses remained waterlogged, more residents continued to be shifted to relief camps.
Local authorities said additional relief camps have been opened to accommodate those evacuated as the downpour persisted.
Several parts of northern districts, including high range areas of Kozhikode and Kannur also received widespread rains.
Delhi-NCR Rain LIVE: Moderate Rain Likely In City
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 26.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with the weather office predicting cloudy sky and moderate rain.
The national capital received light to moderate rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, with Ayanagar recording the highest rainfall among the weather stations at 49.3 mm. Safdarjung, the city's base station, recorded 10.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Palam at 8.3 mm, Lodi Road at 3.9 mm and Ridge at 3 mm.
Monsoon LIVE Updates: Weather Office Forecasts Wet Spell In Odisha From Wednesday Even As Villages Remain Inundated
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast a wet spell for Odisha from Wednesday as several districts remained affected by floods, officials said.
Several people were still in relief camps in Jajpur, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur districts as floodwaters were yet to recede from their villages, even as many rivers ebbed, they said.
People of Jajpur's Dasarathpur, Bhadrak's Basudevpur and Kujang and Tirtol areas of Jagatsinghpur were unable to return to their villages as the roads remained submerged, the officials said.
The IMD said the rain spell will begin on August 5 and continue till August 10.
Weather Today LIVE Updates: Monsoon Disrupts Life In Himachal Pradesh; 153 Roads Blocked, 191 Power Transformers Down
Heavy monsoon rainfall continued to disrupt normal life across Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, with 153 roads remaining blocked, 191 power distribution transformers (DTRs) out of service and 58 water supply schemes affected, according to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC).
The latest SEOC report issued on Tuesday evening said restoration work was underway in the affected districts, with teams deployed to clear roads, restore electricity supply and repair damaged water infrastructure.
Of the 153 blocked roads, Mandi district accounted for the highest number with 51, followed by Sirmaur (39), Kullu (36) and Shimla (15).
The number of blocked roads showed a marginal improvement from 157 reported earlier in the day, but remained significantly higher than Monday evening's figure of 109.
The report said no National Highway was blocked as of Tuesday evening.
