Today Weather in Delhi NCR Highlights: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast spell of light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of up to 60 kmph, on June 11 and 12 in Delhi and neighbouring regions.
According to the weather agency, these conditions may bring down the maximum temperature to around 35-37 degrees Celsius on June 12.
Delhi-NCR witnessed a sudden change in weather as rain lashed several parts of the region, bringing much-needed relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.
The showers led to a noticeable drop in temperature, offering respite to residents who had been enduring uncomfortable weather conditions over the past few days.
Meanwhile, attention is gradually shifting to the progress of the southwest monsoon, which officially entered Kerala on June 4, marking the beginning of India's crucial rainy season. Although the onset was slightly later than usual, meteorologists say weather conditions have become favourable for its gradual advancement across southern and central parts of the country.

Strong dusty winds swept across parts of Delhi on Tuesday evening, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing red and orange alerts for thunderstorms, lightning, hail and moderate rainfall in several parts of the city.
According to the weather office's district-level nowcast, moderate rainfall with thunderstorm (wind speed 60-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph with lightning and hail is very likely over parts of the city.

Delhi-NCR is set for a scorching Tuesday, with temperatures expected to touch 44 degrees Celsius even as the southwest monsoon continues its advance across different parts of the country. The day began with hot and humid conditions, with residents already experiencing intense heat and discomfort during the morning hours.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi and the National Capital Region are likely to witness spells of very light to light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of up to 60 kmph on June 11 and 12.
Until then, heatwave conditions are expected to persist across the region. The national capital is forecast to record maximum temperatures between 42 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius under mainly clear skies. Strong surface winds of 20-30 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 40 kmph during the day, are also expected. Similar heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over Haryana, Punjab, West Rajasthan and parts of Uttar Pradesh through June 11.

Most parts of Rajasthan experienced intense heat and high humidity on Monday, with temperatures continuing to rise despite the ongoing pre-monsoon season.

Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashed several parts of Kerala on Tuesday, particularly in the northern districts, leading to widespread waterlogging and prompting precautionary evacuation measures in some areas.
The southwest monsoon remained active over the state, with intense overnight rainfall affecting both urban and high-range regions of Kozhikode district.
Television visuals showed inundated roads and waterlogging in parts of Kozhikode city, including the beach road area, disrupting normal life and affecting several eateries operating in the locality.
Delhi NCR Weather Live Updates: Warm Morning In City
Delhi experienced a warm morning on Tuesday as the minimum temperature settled at 29.2 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees above the season's average.
Among other weather stations in the national capital, Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, 0.2 degrees below normal, while Lodhi Road registered 27.4 degrees Celsius, 0.4 degrees above normal.
The Ridge station recorded a minimum temperature of 28.3 degrees Celsius, 0.7 degrees above normal, and Ayanagar logged 28 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degrees above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Tamil Nadu Weather Today Live: Meteorological Department Predicts Heavy Rain In 10 Districts
Heavy rains are expected in 10 districts from Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon over Tamil Nadu, according to the RMC.
Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Theni, Kanyakumari and western ghats of Tirunelveli districts will receive rains till June 12, the latest bulletin from the Regional Meteorological Centre said.
However, due to high maximum temperature, combined with high humidity, it is likely to cause discomfort weather over north interior Tamil Nadu districts and coastal areas of the state over the same period.
Today Weather Live: Heatwave Conditions Return To Parts Of Rajasthan
Several parts of Rajasthan are reeling under intense heat, with Sri Ganganagar recording a maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius on Monday, the weather department said.
According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in parts of the state in the coming days.
As per the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Ganganagar was the hottest place in the state at 45.6 degrees Celsius. It was followed by Phalodi at 44.8 degrees, Jaisalmer and Bikaner at 44.0 degrees each, Pilani at 43.8 degrees, Churu at 43.5 degrees, Barmer at 42.8 degrees, Jodhpur at 42.4 degrees and Sangaria at 41.7 degrees Celsius.
