Karunakaran, the secretary of the Tamil Nadu Boxing Association, has been accused by a female boxer of molesting her for two years.
The 24-year-old claims that when she tried to resist his advances, she was barred from participating in two national boxing events.
When he was brought to a local court today, lawyers attacked the official.
