Parliament Monsoon Session Live Updates: The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day following repeated disruptions by Opposition members. A scheduled special discussion on Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's historic space mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) was also disrupted.
A special discussion titled “India's First Astronaut Aboard the International Space Station — Critical Role of Space Programme for Viksit Bharat by 2047” was scheduled for today and was expected to highlight India's strategic goals in space exploration, including the upcoming 'Gaganyaan' human spaceflight mission.
Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh expressed disappointment over the Opposition's refusal to participate.
Mr Shukla arrived in New Delhi in the early hours of Sunday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. He was greeted by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh. Mr Shukla is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today evening.

Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today evening at his 7 Lok Kalyan Marg residence in New Delhi. The meeting is likely to take place between 5 pm to 5:30 pm, officials said.
