Salman Khan stepped in to help Parvez Kazi

Salman Khan stepped in to ensure all medical facilities for body double Parvez Kazi after he underwent heart surgery at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai recently. Known as Salman Khan's "blue-eyed" boy, Parvez Kazi was performing a stunt when he felt unwell.

After he was rushed to the hospital, he was diagnosed with three blockages in his heart. The surgery was carried out urgently, and he is now doing well and recovering. He will reportedly take three months' rest from work.

Parvez Kazi's health scare briefly disrupted the ongoing shoot of Salman Khan's pan-India film with Nayanthara, reportedly titled Monster. As Kazi is not available for some time, Salman might reportedly do the action scenes himself. The team has made certain changes to ensure extra precautions and security for the superstar while doing the action stunts.

Parvez Kazi has been Salman Khan's body double for several years. He has worked for the actor on many projects including Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan's war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace is awaiting release. The film, earlier announced as Battle of Galwan, has reportedly been delayed amid concerns from the Ministry of Defence over its storyline.

A source close to the production told Filmfare, "Salman is completely hands-on right now. He doesn't want the schedule to lose momentum." The development comes as the film continues its shoot.

The project marks Salman Khan's first collaboration with filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju's production house. It also brings Salman together with actress Nayanthara for the first time. The cast is additionally said to include Sagarika Ghatge and Muzammil Ibrahim, among other actors.

The film has been generating interest for its action-heavy scale. Salman and Vamshi recently celebrated the filmmaker's birthday on the sets, with glimpses from the occasion also being shared with audiences.
