Meryl Streep, who won the bestactress Golden Globe for her performance in The Iron Lady,was left red-faced at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles whenshe forgot her glasses and used an expletive word.
The 62-year-old actress couldn't read the speech she hadwritten down before winning the Best Actress award.
"Oh shit my glasses!," she yelped when she suddenlyrealised that she left her spectacles at her table".
Streep then looked desperately at her table and signalledfor her glasses but realised she would have to press on,adding, "OK, I'm gonna have to remember my speech."
Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein attempted to save the nightfor Streep by recovering her glasses and passing them toGeorge Clooney but Streep battled on sightless.
She completed her acceptance speech by thankingWeinstein, joking, "I'd like to thank my agent and God, HarveyWeinstein."
