About Rohtak

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Deepender Singh Hooda was elected from the Rohtak constituency in Haryana on an Indian National Congress ticket. He won with 4,90,063 votes defeating Om Parkash Dhankar of the Bharatiya Janata Party by a margin of 1,70,627 votes.
 
In the 2009 general elections, Deepender Singh Hooda secured the Rohtak constituency by defeating Nafe Singh Rathee from the Indian National Lok Dal who received 1,39,280 votes (16.66 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency). Deepender Singh Hooda received 5,85,016 votes (69.98 per cent).
 
There are nine seats under the Rohtak constituency: Meham, Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, Rohtak, Kalanaur, Bahadurgarh, Badli, Jhajjar, Beri and Kosli.

For the 2019 general elections, Arvind Kumar Sharma from the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against Deepender Singh Hooda of the Indian National Congress and Kishan Lal Panchal from the Bahujan Samaj Party.
