About Hisar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Dushyant Chautala was elected from the Hisar constituency in Haryana on an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket. He won with 4,94,478 votes defeating Kuldeep Bishnoi of the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) party by a margin of 31,847 votes.
 
In the 2009 general elections, Bhajan Lal of the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) party won the constituency by securing 2,48,476 votes (29.99 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency) , defeating Sampat Singh of the Indian National Lok Dal who received 2,41,493 votes (29.15 per cent).
 
There are nine assembly seats under the Hisar constituency: Uchana, Adampur, Uklana, Narnaund, Hansi, Barwala, Hisar, Nalwa Chaudhry and Bawani Khera.

For the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Brijendra Singh from the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against Bhavya Bishnoi of the Indian National Congress. The Indian National Lok Dal has fielded Surinder Sharma for the constituency in the 2019 general elections, and Shashi is contesting on a Bahujan Samaj Party ticket.
