In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Udit Raj was elected from North West Delhi on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 6,29,860 votes. His closest opponent was Rakhi Birla from the AAP who received 5,23,058 votes. Udit Raj won the constituency by a margin of 1,06,802 votes.
In the 2009 general elections, the North West Delhi seat was won by Krishna Tirath on a Congress ticket. North West Delhi constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.
The North West Delhi parliamentary constituency consists of 10 Vidhan Sabha seats Nerela, Badli, Rithala, Bawana, Mundka, Kirari, Sultan Pur Majra, Nangloi Jat, Mangol Puri and Rohini.
Voting for the North West Delhi seat was concluded in the sixth phase of elections on May 12.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Hans Raj Hans, the Congress party's candidate is Ajay Makan and the AAP has fielded Gugan Singh.
