About North East Delhi

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Manoj Tiwari was elected from North East Delhi on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 5,96,125 votes. His closest opponent was Anand Kumar from the AAP who received 4,52,041 votes. Manoj Tiwari won the constituency by a margin of 1,44,084 votes.

In the 2009 general elections, the North East Delhi seat was won by Jai Prakash Agarwal on a Congress ticket. North East Delhi constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.

The North East Delhi parliamentary constituency consists of 10 Vidhan Sabha seats: Burari, Timarpur, Seemapuri, Rohtas Nagar, Seelampur, Ghonda, Babarpur, Gokalpur, Mustafabad and Karawal Nagar.

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Manoj Tiwari, the Congress party's candidate is Sheila Dikshit and the AAP has fielded Dilip Pandey.
