Rajnath Singh Meets RSS Chief Again, Two Meetings in 24 Hours

New Delhi: BJP president Rajnath Singh met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat again today, their second meeting since last night. Yesterday, Mr Singh had met Mr Bhagwat at the RSS office in the national capital along with his party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Sources say they discussed post-poll strategies. The last phase of polling will take place tomorrow. Among the constituencies going to vote is Varanasi, from where Mr Modi is contesting. Votes will be counted on May 16. The last day of campaigning ended yesterday. (Elections 2014: Complete Coverage)

Top RSS leaders Bhaiyaji Joshi, who is second-in-command in the RSS after Mr Bhagwat, and RSS points man in dealing with the BJP Suresh Soni were also part of the deliberations with the BJP president, reports the Press Trust of India.

Mr Modi, who was campaigning in Uttar Pradesh yesterday, landed in Delhi last evening after electioneering in the nine-phased Lok Sabha polls drew to a close and went to meet former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. (Only NDA can Bring About Change in India: Narendra Modi)

"After addressing final campaign rally came to seek Atalji's blessings. Had met him when campaign started. It's always special to meet him (sic)," the Gujarat Chief Minister had tweeted yesterday.

Thereafter, he met party president Rajnath Singh at his residence, from where they went to the RSS office in Jhandewalan to meet the Sangh chief and other senior leaders.
