JEE Main 2026: The NTA said it received multiple requests from candidates to change exam centres.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made several revisions to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 exam centres and dates, accommodating requests made by aspirants. In a release, the exam conducting body said that it changed centres for aspirants in the Middle East, and revised the schedule due to Easter celebrations and those clashing with other examinations.

The JEE Main 2026 exams are being conducted around 566 examination centres across 304 cities nationwide and 14 cities outside India in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for around 11.23 lakh candidates from April 2. The NTA said it coordinated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and planned the JEE Main 2026 exam schedule accordingly for students appearing in the CBSE Class 12 board exams to avoid any conflict

JEE Main Session 2 Centres Revised in Middle East 

In the April 1 release, NTA stated that multiple requests had been received from candidates regarding changes to examination centres in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict in the region. The exam conducting body has accepted these requests and revised the allocated centres accordingly.

JEE Mains Exam Rescheduled Due To Easter Celebrations

The NTA has revised the Session 2 exam dates for candidates who had requested via email to reschedule their JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examinations due to Easter celebrations on April 5, 2026.

NTA Coordinates With CBSE To Avoid Clash

To avoid a clash between the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam and the CBSE Class 12 Board exams, the NTA has coordinated with CBSE to obtain the exam dates for appearing candidates in the CBSE 2026 Class 12 Board examination to avoid any clash with the JEE Mains schedule.

An input field was added in the JEE Main 2026 application forms for candidates to fill in their CBSE roll numbers. The NTA ensured that the JEE Main exam schedules are planned accordingly to avoid conflicts.
