NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Timings

The re-exam was held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, with an additional 15 minutes provided compared to the earlier schedule.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Dress Code

Candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam were required to follow the dress code prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure smooth entry into the examination hall. Both male and female candidates were advised to wear simple, light-coloured clothes with half sleeves and slippers or sandals with low heels. Heavy clothing, full sleeves, shoes, large buttons and accessories were to be avoided.

Candidates were also not allowed to wear jewellery such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets or other decorative items. The dress code was aimed at facilitating quick security checks and maintaining fairness during the examination.

NEET UG 2026 Re Exam LIVE: Students, Parents Hope NEET Re-Test Goes Smoothly This Time

As the NEET UG re-examination is set to begin at 2 pm on Sunday, around 6,500 candidates are scheduled to appear at 19 examination centres in Faridabad, where authorities have put in place tight security and multi-layer checking arrangements.

At the Jawaharlal Nehru Government College examination centre in Faridabad, bouncers have been deployed along with police personnel as part of the security arrangements. A three-layer checking system has also been put in place inside the centre to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the examination.

Candidates arriving at the centres said they were hopeful that the examination would be conducted fairly this time and that there would be no paper leak. Speaking about their preparation, several students said they were fully prepared and were now only hoping that the question paper would not be too difficult.

Parents accompanying the candidates said the National Testing Agency's image had taken a hit in recent times, but expressed hope that the examination would be conducted properly this time. They said students had already been under considerable stress and were now only hoping that the paper would be held smoothly and without any problems.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced extensive security arrangements for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. The test is being conducted at 5,440 examination centres across 551 cities in India and 14 international locations. According to NTA, more than 95,000 examination rooms have been equipped with CCTV surveillance. 

A total of 1,38,560 CCTV cameras have been installed, with live monitoring taking place at the national, state, and ministry levels. To prevent electronic malpractice and ensure the integrity of the examination, the agency has also deployed 51,311 signal jammers across examination centres.
