The all-new Mini Convertible's first batch in India was sold out completely within just 24 hours of its launch on 12 December 2025. Introduced as a completely built-up unit, the convertible carried an ex-showroom price of Rs 58.50 lakh. The swift sell-out reflects strong demand for premium lifestyle cars in the country, reaffirming Mini's appeal among enthusiasts who value its iconic design, open-top driving experience, and exclusivity.

The exterior of the new Mini Convertible retains familiar Mini styling cues while adding modern touches. It comes with standard LED headlights offering three distinct light signatures, enhancing its visual appeal. Buyers can also choose aerodynamically designed 18-inch alloy wheels, available in Slide Spoke 2-tone and Flash Spoke 2-tone finishes.

The black fabric soft top is designed for convenience, opening fully in 18 seconds and closing in 15. It can also be adjusted partially to function as a sunroof, extending up to 40 centimetres, and operates smoothly at any speed, ensuring comfort in varied weather conditions.

The cabin of the new Mini Cooper S Convertible carries forward the brand's signature circular design language, paired with a dual-tone Minimalist layout. Pill-shaped air vents and a customizable dashboard crafted from sustainable materials are highlighted by a black and beige color scheme. At the center sits a 9.4-inch Android-based OLED touchscreen that doubles as the infotainment hub and instrument cluster, supported by a head-up display. The equipment list mirrors the hardtop variant, offering powered seats, Harman Kardon audio, climate control, rearview camera, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and cruise control.

It seeks power from a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. There is no option for a manual transmission. Using the power, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 6.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed is limited to 237 kmph. Mini asserts that the convertible achieves a fuel efficiency of 16.82 kmpl.
