Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has officially unveiled the all-new TZ, its first-ever all-electric three-row SUV. Positioned above the RX in the brand's global lineup, the new Lexus TZ is designed as a premium six-seat electric SUV focused on comfort, technology and long-distance usability. The Lexus TZ electric shares its underpinnings with the recently revealed Toyota Highlander EV and offers a claimed driving range of up to 530 km on a single charge.
Lexus TZ Electric SUV: Design & Exterior
The new Lexus TZ measures over five metres in length and comes with a long 3,050 mm wheelbase, helping maximise cabin space for all three seating rows. While it shares its silhouette and glasshouse with the Toyota Highlander EV, Lexus has given the TZ a distinct identity with several styling changes.
At the front, the SUV gets Lexus' signature enclosed spindle grille along with sharp C-shaped LED headlamps and integrated daytime running lights. The bumper features black inserts, a wide lower air intake and chunky cladding for a more rugged SUV appearance.
From the side, the TZ gets muscular wheel arches, squared-off styling elements and a strong shoulder line that runs across the body. Black cladding on the lower sections further adds to its SUV character.

At the rear, the electric SUV features a split lighting setup with a connected LED light bar and illuminated LEXUS lettering positioned high on the tailgate. L-shaped tail lamps and a heavily clad bumper complete the design.
Lexus TZ Electric SUV: Cabin And Features
Inside, Lexus says the TZ has been developed around a new "Driving Lounge" concept that focuses on comfort, relaxation, and refinement. The cabin gets a layered dashboard design along with a freestanding 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The SUV comes with a standard six-seat layout featuring captain seats in the second row. Buyers also get powered ottomans, ventilation, and one-touch folding seats for easier access to the third row. Lexus claims the third row offers generous headroom and legroom for adults.
Other key features include a panoramic glass roof, multizone climate control, heated seats for all rows, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and Lexus' latest ADAS suite. The cabin also uses sustainable materials like forged bamboo and recycled aluminium.
Lexus TZ Electric SUV: Battery, Performance, And Charging
The Lexus TZ will be offered with two battery pack options - 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh. Lexus claims the larger battery can deliver a driving range of up to 530 km.
The Lexus TX SUV uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with one motor mounted on each axle. Combined power output stands at 402 bhp, while peak torque from each motor is rated at 268.6 Nm. Lexus says the TZ can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds despite weighing around 2,630 kg with the bigger battery pack.
Charging options include support for 22 kW AC charging and 150 kW DC fast charging. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes. The SUV will support multiple charging standards, including CCS, CHAdeMO, and NACS, depending on the market.
