- The Countryman C will be locally assembled to offer a competitive price in India
- It features a design similar to the Countryman Electric with five color options
Mini has confirmed the India launch date for the 2026 Countryman C, with the premium SUV set to arrive on June 17. The new variant will sit below the performance-oriented Countryman JCW All4 in the brand's India lineup, and pre-bookings are already open.
The 2026 Mini Countryman C is expected to be the more accessible offering in the range, while still carrying the familiar Mini character. It will be locally assembled, which should help Mini position it more competitively in the Indian market.
On the outside, the 2026 Mini Countryman C will likely be offered in five colour options: Chilli Red, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue and Smokey Green. Its overall design will be similar to the Countryman Electric, though with a slightly revised grille and bumpers. Other details include body-coloured door handles, black ORVM housings, black door pillars and roof, along with champagne-coloured exterior trim, alloy wheels and matrix LED tail-lamps.

Powering the Countryman C will be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol direct-injection engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Mini India has not yet confirmed the exact output figures for this version, but the engine is likely to be the three-cylinder unit also used in the BMW X1. In that model, it produces 136 hp and 230 Nm of torque. By comparison, the Countryman JCW All4 makes a much stronger 300 hp and 400 Nm from its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.

Once launched, the 2026 Mini Countryman C will be priced below the flagship JCW All4, which currently costs Rs 64.9 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, it will compete with the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, making it an important addition to Mini's premium SUV lineup.
