Journalist J Dey, who often exposed the nexus between cops and the underworld, was shot dead by unidentified men in Mumbai on Saturday. He was killed in retaliation for recent stories, some of which focused on the oil mafia, said the Maharashtra government. Twenty people who allegedly work for the oil mafia or the D-Company have already been questioned. Is the Mumbai underworld back in action?
