A distinguished Indian scientist has alleged that he was ill treated, harassed and denied a visa under US Immigration and Nationality Act 221. Chennai-based scientist Professor PC Kesavan also claimed that the US consulate officials put him through humiliating questioning. Kesavan was the director of the Biosciences Group at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre from 1993-98.
