Trump Says US Will Go Into Iran And Excavate Uranium, Tehran Spokesman Says 'It Won't Leave Country'

Donald Trump has said the United States will retrieve Iran’s “nuclear dust,” referring to enriched uranium believed to be buried under damaged nuclear sites, even suggesting excavation inside Iranian territory. He also maintained that the US naval blockade on Iranian ships will continue until a deal is reached on Tehran’s nuclear programme. Iran, however, has pushed back strongly. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the enriched uranium “will not be transferred anywhere,” calling it as sacred as Iran’s soil, while warning that continued US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz would violate the ceasefire. As tensions persist, both sides remain at odds over nuclear terms, maritime access, and the broader path to ending the conflict.
