Tuesday could be the start of a happy new year for lakhs of tribals living in tiger reserves as they could get up to 4 acres of land. A day before the likely notification of the Tribal Bill, which promises land rights to forest dwellers, as many as eleven tiger range states have identified the core or critical big cat habitats in their areas. This was a pre-requisite for the Tribals Act.
