In West Bengal - an all-party meeting has been called to discuss the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's calls for a separate homeland of Gorkhaland. All the main political parties, apart from the Trinamool and its ally the SUCI, will be taking part in these talks. Meanwhile, the GJM has called for a parallel meeting of its own. It has also asked people in the hills to be prepared for a bandh that could last longer than any protest called there before.
