At the heart of the protests in the Kashmir valley is the complaint of an economic blockade by the agitators in Jammu. Traders in the Valley say their produce is not reaching other parts of the country and their trucks are not being allowed free movement by protestors on the other side. The Army has now intervened to take control of the National Highway.
